Happy Thanksgiving Week!

I love Thanksgiving. It’s one of my favorite holidays. With its focus on gathering together with loved ones to enjoy delicious food and give thanks for all our blessings, what’s not to love?

So in honor of the upcoming turkey day festivities and as a small token of our deep appreciation for you, we are giving away one of my favorite kitchen tools for healthy cooking and weight loss – an Instant Pot!

Happy Thanksgiving Instant Pot Giveaway

Have you heard of the Instant Pot?

It is a multifunction electric pressure cooker that can produce fork-tender pot roasts in less than an hour, as well as brown meat, cook beans without soaking, and even do the job of a rice cooker (affiliate link) or crockpot.

Though you can find the Instant Pot at Wal-Mart, Target and Kohl’s, the bulk of its sales come from Amazon where it is a top-selling item.

I bought mine a couple of years ago and have been using it consistently ever since – mostly as a slow cooker.

I love that you can switch from saute to slow cooking with the press of a button.

My brother, Peter is experimenting more with pressure cooking to make things like this homemade pumpkin puree.

I could go on and on, but I won’t!

Without further ado…

This Giveaway has ended, please see winner above!

  1. My favorite is visiting with family & friends
My turkey is roasted & my splurge is all of the above – I try… to save up my smart points but they never seem to go that far 🙂

  2. 1) Spending time with family. My mom passed away years ago, but the dinner is served on her china (which came from her mom). So even setting the table and washing the dishes is a time for family remembrance of people that we loved who enjoyed the same traditions and ate from the same china.
    2) I roast the turkey in the oven.
    3) My stuffing is usually the star of the show, but this year I made a pumpkin trifle that everyone loved!

  3. 1. Spending time with family and friends. I host Thanksgiving and since my Mom has passed I am the matriarch of the family and y brother is older than e and noting makes me happier than to hear him say “this tastes just like Mom’s cooking”!
    2. I roast it in the oven.
    3. I splurge on everything because I don’t normally eat any of those foods BUT I only take a little of each and I really enjoy them!

  4. I love Thanksgiving for being with family and relaxing!! We roast our turkey. My favorite splurge is yummy pumpkin pie with homemade whipped toping!!

  5. THANKSGIVING IS FOR GIVING THANKS TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR MAKING MY LIFE FULL OF LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING, WHILE ENJOYING OUR ROASTED TURKEY WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS INCLUDING STUFFING AND GRAVY!!!

  6. 1. Spending time with family and friends
    2. roasted
    3. Mashed potatoes and gravy
Most important is spending time with family. Like all families over the years we have lost several members, so to me Thanksgiving is a time of Giving “Thanks” and love to those we have lost and those we remain with us.
