My favorite salad kale, romaine, dried cranberries, any kind of nut and a low-fat or fat-free salad dressing.
Hands down, my favorite would have to be broccoli. I know.it sounds weird, but there you have it…YUM!
Broccoli & Cabbage
Chinese Chicken Salad
My favorite salad is made with grilled chicken with fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumber and a little grated cheese!
Cobb salad!
My all-time favorite salad is mixed lettuces and/or spinach with lots of fresh seasonal fruit. In the spring, it’s strawberries, blueberries, fresh pineapple (cut in to tidbits) and sections of Cutie’s (seedless mandarin oranges). In the summer it’s sweet Bing cherries, peaches, pears and/or nectarines with the salad greens. Of course fall uses a variety of sweet and tart apples. For the winter months, I usually watch the store ads to see what fruit is on-sale or advertised (raspberries, blackberries, grapes, oranges, pineapple, kiwi, etc.). Sometimes I had a zero or low-calorie dressing, other times I have it with none at all, and savor the juice from the delicious ripened fruit.
My favorite salad is a greek village salad…cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives and feta cheese. Yum!!!
spinach salad nectarines
Greek Salad with all the fresh cukes, peppers and tomatoes.
