Today, to celebrate summer, the pinnacle of Smoothie Season, I’m giving away a Ninja Blender (affiliate link).

While I enjoy smoothies all year long, they definitely show up on my radar a lot more during the long warm summer days of summer. Smoothies are such an easy, delicious way to fuel and energize your day.
I know that according to Weight Watchers you are supposed to count the fruit and vegetables when used to make a beverage, I often circumvent the rule by making my smoothies thick enough to eat with a spoon!
A healthy delicious way to bump up my fruit and vegetable intake, as long as I am able to maintain my weight where I want I don’t consider it a crime!

I love that the kids are home and less stressed.
I will be 77 years young in August, and I still love playing and swimming in the water. So a lake, creek, or swimming pool draw me in the summer. Especially when I have those beautiful grandchildren playing with me.
I love the bit more relaxed pace during the summer. (School’s out..) 🙂

All the fresh veggies and fruits! So much better in the summer time
What I love most about summer is sitting on my porch swing having conversations with my 2 children, hearing about their day while I drink my coffee! Paradise!
I love the longer daylight hours, the light dancing through the tree leaves, the fresh fruits and vegetables, more time spent with family and friends.
I love being able to walk around the local farmers markets taking advantage of all the local fresh veggies and fruits. Grilling outdoors is definetely a plus with the longer days. Thick smoothies filed under my bucket list..lol…love it!
Summer means long days of sunlight so that I can enjoy time with my family and friends. Maybe the best part is that I am more adventurous to try new recipes! Thanks Martha for giving me great ideas to make my summer better!
What I love most about summer is the freedom to move about without thinking about coats, boots, gloves or icy roads!
