Today, to celebrate summer, the pinnacle of Smoothie Season, I’m giving away a Ninja Blender (affiliate link).

While I enjoy smoothies all year long, they definitely show up on my radar a lot more during the long warm summer days of summer. Smoothies are such an easy, delicious way to fuel and energize your day.

I know that according to Weight Watchers you are supposed to count the fruit and vegetables when used to make a beverage, I often circumvent the rule by making my smoothies thick enough to eat with a spoon!

A healthy delicious way to bump up my fruit and vegetable intake, as long as I am able to maintain my weight where I want I don’t consider it a crime!

  1. I love the longer days, being able to go to Take my husband who has alzheimers to the park and watch the beautiful sunsets and eating all the fresh fruit.

  2. I love the daylight. I feel like I have so much more day to do things after work. I eat better. I shop for fruits and vegetables. There is no rush to get home.

  3. I love having fun time with the grandchildren. They live to swim which gives me good exercise time. I love the fresh fruits and veggies at the Farmer’s market. With all the zero points it’s easy to please my appetite with all the fresh choices!

  4. Oh how I love summer and all of the grilling — we love veggies, veggies, and more veggies, along with the great tasting melons and berries we can add to our cereals and smoothies. And being able to share that with friends and family during get-togethers makes for great summer eating!
