The winner of the Ninja blender (affiliate link) is: Sherri Terry

Congratulations, Sherri. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your blender (affiliate link)!

Today, to celebrate summer, the pinnacle of Smoothie Season, I’m giving away a Ninja Blender (affiliate link).

While I enjoy smoothies all year long, they definitely show up on my radar a lot more during the long warm summer days of summer. Smoothies are such an easy, delicious way to fuel and energize your day.

I know that according to Weight Watchers you are supposed to count the fruit and vegetables when used to make a beverage, I often circumvent the rule by making my smoothies thick enough to eat with a spoon!

A healthy delicious way to bump up my fruit and vegetable intake, as long as I am able to maintain my weight where I want I don’t consider it a crime!

  1. What do I love most about summer? Warm weather! Not having to wear coats and boots! I’m fortunate to live in an area with many organic farms, so fresh local fruits and vegetables.

  2. I look forward every summer to growing fresh vegetables and fruits in my backyard, creating healthy foods that my family will enjoy and having my grandkids experience the joy of picking and eating tomatoes and berries right off the plants! I also enjoy growing beautiful Zinnias and sharing them, along with my vegetables with friends and neighbors!

  3. Living in the Central Valley of California, there is an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, It makes eating a low (or no) point meal easy. Love the tree ripened fruit, melons, grapes and corn on the cob available at the many farmer’s markets available here in the Central Valley during summertime.
