The winner of the Ninja blender (affiliate link) is: Sherri Terry

Congratulations, Sherri. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your blender (affiliate link)!

Today, to celebrate summer, the pinnacle of Smoothie Season, I’m giving away a Ninja Blender (affiliate link).

While I enjoy smoothies all year long, they definitely show up on my radar a lot more during the long warm summer days of summer. Smoothies are such an easy, delicious way to fuel and energize your day.

I know that according to Weight Watchers you are supposed to count the fruit and vegetables when used to make a beverage, I often circumvent the rule by making my smoothies thick enough to eat with a spoon!

A healthy delicious way to bump up my fruit and vegetable intake, as long as I am able to maintain my weight where I want I don’t consider it a crime!

  1. I love 4th of July! It’s one of my favorite holidays because it makes it REALLY feel like summer to me. It’s because we get the day off, usually outside at a bbq, in a swimming pool, enjoying the day with family, friends, good food. Then having a nice summer night outside watching/setting off fireworks, which I love because they;re so pretty. Just love the vibe of that summer holiday.

  2. What I love the most about summer is summer family campouts. The last big family campout for our close and extended family (which include friends that that we love as family) is the Labor Day Holiday. We all go up and eat several meals together as a group, making Hobo Pies in a campfire with desert Hobo’s to follow. ( I have my desert Hobo’s first. teehee I love them the best so why not right?) We have enough teens around now to watch the little ones so we don’t have to keep eagle eyes always, just hawk eyes now. But this is what I love about summer the most is family holiday campouts. Oh and we walk the Mackinaw Bridge together also.
