  1. Hello Martha-My favorite summer food would have to be the fresh fruits. They are so plentiful and the taste is amazing. We are fortunate to have so many farmers markets throughout our area. We can pick fresh berries early in the season-nothing tastes like a fresh picked strawberry! I could go on and on about the abundance of fresh fruits, but I think you get the picture.

  2. My favorite summer food is anything with chicken – especially chicken salad or chicken on the grill – in fact, my special needs cat is now stuck on chicken breasts too – -she ‘needs’ it 2x a day – -so we both enjoy it all summer long.

  3. Corn on the cob! “Today’s” pick everyday-just at this time of the year. It never tastes as good the rest of the year so why bother!

  4. Hi Martha, I truly love summertime because of the fresh produce. One of my absolutely favorite foods is also my mom’s recipe for ham, potatoes & green beans. It was 1973 and I had moved out of my home to live on my own after high school graduation. I remember how I had very little to eat in my fridge and upon my first visit to see my mom back home she was making this for the family. I never appreciated her Ham, Green Beans and Potatoes more than on that visit. You never know what you had you’ll it’s gone. Am I tight? But I carry on her tradition and make this more than once every late summer and early fall. My family loves it as much as I did. Traditions are the best experiences. Thanks a Bunch for sharing yourself here for all of us. I appreciate all you give to me on my Weight Watcher Journey. ?
