The winners of the doTERRA Lavender Essential Oil (affiliate link) are:
Melissa W. – “I start winding down about an hour before bedtime (which we keep at the same time every night if possible) turning off the TV and putting away all electronic devices. We turn on soft music while we wrap up the evening, Once In bed we turn on a fan for white noise, we journal out last few thoughts … then meditation closes out the night. Kind of a production, but very effective.”
Nancy N. – “I like to sit calmly for about 5 min. Would love to try this on my pillow. Love lavender!”
Michelle D. – “On Friday or Saturday night, when my kids can stay up a little bit longer, we snuggle together in our comfy recliner. Sunday through Thursday, I read to the kids for 30 minutes and talk about what we liked best about that day. After that, then I complete my bedtime rituals with calming yoga stretches and/or a bubble bath, with the lights dimmed low. I’m usually asleep within 10 minutes. ?”
Congratulations, winners!

Why I Love doTERRA’s Lavender Essential Oil
Today, because I’m fortunate to be vacationing in Provence, the heart of lavender country, I’m giving away three (3) bottles of doTERRRA lavender essential oil (affiliate link).

I love, love, love doTERRA essential oils and lavender is one of my favorites.

Lavender is often considered a must-have oil to keep on hand at all times due to its versatile uses, including calming and relaxing properties that promote peaceful sleep and ease feelings of tension.*
I keep a bottle in the bathroom, in the bedroom and in the kitchen – to use in the bath, on my feet before bed and on my skin whenever I cut or burn myself in the kitchen!
Lavender Essential Oil Benefits
Lavender is known for it’s calming and relaxing qualities, so try adding a few drops of Lavender Essential Oil to your pillows, bedding or bottoms of your feet for a restful night’s sleep.
In this video doTERRA shares more about lavender oils uses and benefits…
Lavender Essential Oil Description
Lavender has been used and cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma and myriad benefits. In ancient times, the Egyptians and Romans used Lavender for bathing, relaxation, cooking, and as a perfume.
Its calming and relaxing qualities continue to be Lavender’s most notable attributes.
Applied topically, Lavender is frequently used to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.
Add to your bath water to soak away stress or apply to your temples and the back of your neck.

You can also add a few drops of Lavender to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet to relax and prepare for a restful night’s sleep.
Because of its versatile properties, I consider Lavender the must-have oil to have on hand at all times.
This video shows how to use lavender when going to sleep…
Lavender Oil Uses
- Add a few drops of Lavender to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet at bedtime.

Reading. Best part of my day is when I can get in bed with my book. Exciting life, huh?
After putting a couple of drops of oil on my wrists and back of my neck, I lie down and visualize wiping stress away from my body, starting at my feet and working up to my head. I rarely make it past my chest in this meditation. If I’m very wound up, I sometimes will take a valerian root tablet (not the capsule, they smell bad). No side effects.
I love to read and drink a cup of tea or decaf coffee.
Clean sheets, clean jammies, and a good book!
I wake often in the night with a tightness in my chest that the doctor says is anxiety. I did not know that lavender can help alleviate this, so I am looking forward to trying it. Now, I try to empty my mind, and focus on some positive, uplifting facet to my day (usually spiritual and/or family oriented) just before crawling into bed. I trust the lavender helps.
Would love to try this at work during an extremely hectic day!!
Before bed try to stay away from electronics and listen to relaxing music
I like to read some and listen to soothing music, a few squirts of something soothing on my pillow when I have something
Hot bubble bath or an occasional over the counter sleeping pill.
No problem going to sleep but staying asleep is a struggle.
I love to read before I go to bed. It is the most relaxing way for me to unwind.
I keep lavender scent in my bedroom and I also do some meditation just before bed. Works great for me!
