The winners of the doTERRA Lavender Essential Oil (affiliate link) are:
Melissa W. - "I start winding down about an hour before bedtime (which we keep at the same time every night if possible) turning off the TV and putting away all electronic devices. We turn on soft music while we wrap up the evening, Once In bed we turn on a fan for white noise, we journal out last few thoughts … then meditation closes out the night. Kind of a production, but very effective."
Nancy N. - "I like to sit calmly for about 5 min. Would love to try this on my pillow. Love lavender!"
Michelle D. - "On Friday or Saturday night, when my kids can stay up a little bit longer, we snuggle together in our comfy recliner. Sunday through Thursday, I read to the kids for 30 minutes and talk about what we liked best about that day. After that, then I complete my bedtime rituals with calming yoga stretches and/or a bubble bath, with the lights dimmed low. I’m usually asleep within 10 minutes. ?"
Congratulations, winners!

In this video doTERRA shares more about lavender oils uses and benefits...
Lavender Essential Oil Description
Lavender has been used and cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma and myriad benefits. In ancient times, the Egyptians and Romans used Lavender for bathing, relaxation, cooking, and as a perfume.
Its calming and relaxing qualities continue to be Lavender's most notable attributes.
Applied topically, Lavender is frequently used to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.
Add to your bath water to soak away stress or apply to your temples and the back of your neck.
You can also add a few drops of Lavender to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet to relax and prepare for a restful night’s sleep.
Because of its versatile properties, I consider Lavender the must-have oil to have on hand at all times.
This video shows how to use lavender when going to sleep...

I am a widow and my four children are all grown and gone now, living in far-off places. I'm able to keep myself busy throughout the day, but at night the loneliness kicks in and is harder to deal with. My favorite way to get ready for bed is to take a hot shower, powder myself with homemade dusting powder that is lightly scented with some essential oils, and then climb into bed, freshly made with nice clean, crisp sheets. I then put on my Bi-pap machine paraphernalia and read until I get very sleepy and turn out the light. The Bi-pap is not very comfortable and I keep waking up to adjust the face mask throughout the night, which is very frustrating. I was just looking at diffusers on Amazon today and thinking how nice it would be to get one. I have never tried lavender, but after reading the information and watching the videos, I think it sounds wonderful. Reading through the comments confirmed that for me. I'm sorry this is so long. I only meant to say a few words!

About 30 minutes before bed I turn off the TV, all electronics, dim the lights and enjoy a cup of Sleepytime tea in the peace and quiet. This gives my mind a chance to quiet and it helps to unwind and de-stress. It also prepares my mind and body for the rest it is about to receive getting into a relaxed state prior to climbing into bed.The scent of lavender enhances the experience.
