Weight Watchers Recipe of the Day: Crock Pot Apple Cider with Orange Juice
(116 calories | 6 6 6 myWW *SmartPoints value per serving)
Warm and wonderful is how I would describe this crock pot apple cider with orange juice.
I don’t really drink much juice these days. Weight Watchers taught me to select fruit over juice and it’s a habit that’s stuck.
Unless I’m not feeling well and then all bets are off.
I seem to crave juice, especially orange juice when I’m under the weather.
So, when I saw this recipe for crock pot apple cider with orange juice, in Fix-It and Forget-It Big Cookbook: 1400 Best Slow Cooker Recipes (affiliate link) I decided to give it a try.

As luck would have it, I had everything I needed. The only change I made was to substitute 1/4 cup honey for the full cup of sugar called for. I think juice is sweet enough on it’s own, but the honey seemed soothing, somehow.
The aroma of this crock pot apple cider with orange juice and spices is wonderful as it simmers in the slow cooker. And it tastes delightful too.
How Many Calories and Points in this Cider?
According to my calculations, each serving has 116 calories and:

I’m wondering how it would be turned into an adult beverage with a shot of vodka, tequila or peach schnapps mixed in??? (For medicinal purposes only, of course ๐ )
