The winner of the gift card is Kathy E. who said…

“Gift-giving is something I love because I enjoy making personalized gifts, especially sewing up tote bags, coaster sets, quilts and table runners. I always keep the recipient’s preferences and colors in mind as I sew, always adding love to every stitch! Of course, receiving handmade gifts is the best too! Gift-giving and receiving are always appreciated with thoughtfulness and love behind the act.”

Congratulations Kathy E., please send an email support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your gift card!

  1. My favorite gifts to receive are gifts of events: movie, dinner, plays, game night, overnight trips, and outdoor activities with friends and family.

  2. My favorite gifts to give and receive are items that will personally be current and useful in a person’s life and interests. Sometimes the first idea is something I think is a good idea, but then I must reevaluate that impulse of some my choices from the knowledge of the individual. What would THEY appreciate? Some people are trying to get rid of clutter, especially at an older age and so gifts need to be useful, consumable or something the person will enjoy but not buy for themselves. I recently ordered personal return address labels for a friend who recently moved. His money was tight and I did not think he would spend money on a slightly unnecessary item. It was chosen after I turned down three other ideas and he loved them. Personally, I do enjoy gifts from people who know my interests. My sister gave me a battery operated and USB rechargeable music stand light, since this is my current passion. I like small gifts, too….my space is limited, so I like useful items, but it can be a new CD, a book, I am crazy about ink pens, pet gifts, or a gift that has two or three parts. Once my family gave me a bird feeder, the pole, a book on identifying birds and binoculars. I like to give and receive gifts that have some knowledge about what the person is currently interested in and possibly they would not buy for themselves. The person may have spoken about a new or cherished subject,, or I have noticed by paying attention to their current passions what they are excited about. Think about the person receiving the gift more than what you “think” they’ll enjoy just because you do. Put yourself in their place, listen to them when they talk and notice how they live and that will give you clues.

  3. I love anything handmade from Alphabet soup to Zoo Quilts. Knowing that someone took the time to make something by hand & heart means the world to me.

  4. Being as my family is spread around the states and not knowing what a teenager wants or needs I love to give gift cards. Then when I talk with them they are excited to tell my of their newest “treasure”.

  5. Love giving personal gifts to pamper one’s self such as, wonderful philosophy products, scented candles, good wines, sample boxes wonderful teas & coffee, cheese & meat trays with delicious crackers, I soft luxurious throws, (Dennis Basso for ex.
