Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle
My weight has always yo-yo'd—at my heavyist my weight was right around 270 plus. I started playing with weight loss and tried and failed many diets.
When my dad died, I decided not to think about pounds but more about health. I started writing down what I was eating. The kind of foods and the way they were cooked. That is when I started to change my ways and get my mind made up.
This was the start of my weight loss journey. I cut out salt, mayonaise, fried foods and junk food
I began eating more fruit, more veggies and more fish. I have now lost 125 pounds and still have 25 more for my goal weight.
What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or "A-Ha Moment" That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?
When my dad passed away—he was so into health. He was a pedal pusher and in many bike races. A runner too and very health conscious. I was so opposite, this was my wake up call.
How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I have found out I love blueberries and kiwi.
What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?
I am so much more active and feel like it helps with my COPD.

How Much Weight Have You Lost? How Long Did It Take You To Lose It?
125 pounds lost so far and I started at the end of April 2018. At my last weigh-in in January—about 8-and-a-half months later and I'm still on my journey to my goal weight of 125 pounds.
Any Advice and/or Words of Wisdom for Others Who Are Struggling?
Make up your mind. Get the mind set. I am not on a diet, but a lifestyle change. This will be the way I eat and live the rest of my life!
