Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle
I was a drug addict for many years. After getting sober I gained over 100 lbs. Being a recovered addict is a huge part of my journey. Shortly after getting sober, I became pregnant. That meant more weight. It felt like I was trapped in a prison inside myself.
What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or "A-Ha Moment" That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?
I didn't have a wake-up or a-ha moment. I had an opportunity to start Weight Watchers and thought "why not" - what did I have to lose? I figured that gift was put on my path for a reason.

How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I started slow. I started by just tracking and taking things out that were "expensive" in points. I started getting creative, like using a bell pepper stuffed with lunch meat, cheese, and veggies instead of a sandwich with bread.
Now, 2-½ years later, I make my meals, instead of eating out. I have fruits and veggies to graze on throughout the day.
My meals consist of proteins, complex carbs, produce. I eat a Quest Bar if I'm craving something sweet to trick my mind.
What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?
Before was NO exercise at all. If any, it was to go to the fridge.
Once I started my journey, I joined a local gym.
At first I wandered around having no idea what to do. Then I decided to meet with a trainer once a week. From there came amazing friendships and accountability partners.
Today my exercise consists of 30 - 45 minutes of cardio 3 days a week, weights on my own once a week, Ave training once a week.
I feel the best I've ever felt. My mood is amazing, sleep is beautiful and my body is strong.
