We are excited to be sharing our 23rd Weight Loss Success Story with you today, and the first submitted by a gentleman! Woo. Hoo.
Edward has already used the Weight Watchers program to lose more than 70 pounds in four months with a goal of losing 80 more. Using Weight Watchers, he has become mindful of what he is eating and has learned to ask the powerful question, "Is it worth it?"
I love his sage advice, to take whatever program/method you use and use it positively. The truth is that weight loss is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. Each of us needs to do it our way to make it work for the long run. A big key is to take what works and run with it!!
Take it away, Edward...

Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle
I, like many people, have struggled with weight loss for many years. In 2006, after a couple of years working a desk job and gaining weight, I started an Atkins program and exercise. I quickly lost 60 pounds, but just as quickly after stopping the program, I gained it all back… and plenty more.
In 2015, I looked at weight loss surgery after weighing in at 420 lbs.
In early 2016, I was ready to proceed with the surgery and looked at Weight Watchers as a way to document my eating habits for the three months required for surgery. I started WW the second week of February at 407 lbs and four months later I'm down to 330 lbs and foregoing the surgery.
My journey is ongoing with a goal of 250 lbs.
What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or "A-Ha Moment" That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?
I was loosing the ability to do simple everyday tasks such as laundry, yard work, etc.
How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I'm very mindful of what I eat. Before I started I was constantly munching. Since staring WW I look at the point value of what I'm looking to eat and see if I have the points and is it worth the points even if I have them.
What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?
I'm able to do so many more things now! I haven't got my exercise flowing consistently, but when I do get on the treadmill (affiliate link), I can do 45 min at 3 mph with minor issues.
What Has Been The Biggest Change/Payoff For You So Far?
My quality of life… and the image I present now.
How Much Weight Have You Lost? How Long Did It Take You To Lose It?
I've gone from 407 pounds down to 330 pounds in four months.
Advice and/or Words of Wisdom to Others Who Are Struggling?
Take whatever program/method you use and use it positively. There WILL be a payoff if you stick with it. Doing what you did or didn't do to gain the weight sure isn't working, so embrace your new plan and run with it!!
