Happy Thanksgiving Week!
I love Thanksgiving. It’s one of my favorite holidays. With its focus on gathering together with loved ones to enjoy delicious food and give thanks for all our blessings, what’s not to love?
So in honor of the upcoming turkey day festivities and as a small token of our deep appreciation for you, we are giving away one of my favorite kitchen tools for healthy cooking and weight loss – an Instant Pot!

Have you heard of the Instant Pot?
It is a multifunction electric pressure cooker that can produce fork-tender pot roasts in less than an hour, as well as brown meat, cook beans without soaking, and even do the job of a rice cooker (affiliate link) or crockpot.

Though you can find the Instant Pot at Wal-Mart, Target and Kohl’s, the bulk of its sales come from Amazon where it is a top-selling item.
I bought mine a couple of years ago and have been using it consistently ever since – mostly as a slow cooker.
I love that you can switch from saute to slow cooking with the press of a button.
My brother, Peter is experimenting more with pressure cooking to make things like this homemade pumpkin puree.
I could go on and on, but I won’t!
Without further ado…
This Giveaway has ended, please see winner above!

1. Spending time with family. Every the day before Thanksgiving, my granddaughters come over and help me cook the desserts and side dishes, but since our home flooded from hurricane Harvey, I don’t have a kitchen this year. We’ll have to wait til next year.
2. We usually have chicken fried steak with either a ham or turkey. That’s the kids choosing.
3. Pie or dessert.

I love spending time with family and friends. I love cooking together and then the talking, sharing and laughing throughout the day. We roast our turkey and boy do I love stuffing. This Thanksgiving is a very thankful one as I have just been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and I am thankful for everyone in my life, my home and even the dust in the corners. I am looking toward surgery, treatment and can’t wait to hear I’m cancer free. I’m planning and counting on it. The instant pot would not only help with continued and hopeful weight loss but also make sure my meals during this treatment time not only are healthy but taste good. With having to be back and forth to the hospital daily the instant pot would make dinner prep a breeze. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Cooking is fun for me. My husband smokes the turkey. My favorite is the stuffing or the turkey sandwich later on.
