  1. I love using my slow cooker for the ease and simplicity factor. Dump ingredients in in the morning and come home to a delicious meal that makes the house smell like I’ve been cooking all day! I love slow cooking in all four seasons, but especially summertime in the south gets so humid and hot. So why not keep the kitchen cool and break out the slow cooker, baby!

  2. Ease of use! Throw a few ingredients in, add a little liquid, voila! The meal is ready when you are ready. Now that there are cooker bags, even clean up can’t get any easier! Great for those stick to your ribs comfort foods during the cooler weather and produces just as tasty lighter meals in the summer, while not heating up the kitchen. What could be better?

  3. The way it makes my house smell so wonderful. No matter what season it is. Gives it a “Homie” feel .

  4. This is ready when I come home from work or I can start before we go to church on Sunday and still have a very nourishing meal without all the fuss.

  5. Even tho I’m retired (& when I worked I used slow cookers ALL THE TIME) I used my slow cookers still. They are GREAT when going camping. Of course, this one is much more sophisticated Than mine, but they still get the job done!!!

  6. How much more time I can spend with my granddaughter when she’s here for a visit. They live in Michigan and I’m here in Florida. Prepare night before plug in, turn on, then go play love it.

  7. I can prepare meals ahead and spend my days playing Tennis in the summer and skiing in the winter. When I get home I don’t have prep work to do for dinner. It’s just so easy and the dinner are always sooo good.

  8. I love that when I have company…and we have lots, living in the beautiful north GA mts…I can have a delicious meal with very little effort. Not just dinner, but breakfast too. I prefer all meat and poultry cooked in slow cooker. Product is flavorful and moist. I taught school for 32 years. My family would have been very hungry had it not been for my slow cooker. We had delicious, nutritious meals with very little effort on my part. It was a thrill to arrive home after a tiresome work day and experience the smells coming out of the kitchen.

  9. My favourite all-time comfort recipe for a slow-cooker is turkey with wild rice, squash and cranberries. And all it takes is a turkey breast, wild rice, onion (cut in wedges), butternut squash (and I’m a fan of the pre-cut squash) and 3 cups chicken broth. Add some salt, pepper, thyme and cook on low for 7 hours. Stir in cranberries at the end. It’s like instant Christmas in the winter and a sigh of relief in a heat wave (like we’ve been having this past week! )
