It’s a treat to use a slow cooker, and mine is beginning to wear from my treats. Fill it in the a.m. or p.m. and be ready for a delicious meal. Reduces the temptation of tasting as you cook, keeping me on track.
Hi Martha
Thank you for asking the question. I love cooking in my slow cooker, mine is very old, but it works. My husband and I are retired, I like starting my dinner mid morning so when evening comes I don’t have to think about what I’m going to cook it’s all done. I found it helps me make healthy meals, especially at our ages, 75 & 72 we need to watch or calories and fat intake. Also it helps stay on budget, being retired in all. Love to have a new slow cooker. Thank you, Claudia
You can try interesting recipes and dinner will be ready for you when you get done with your busy day. Also with everyobes busy schedule you can eat whenever.
It is so easy, just put it in & let it cook & it is ready when you are.
I have collected a lot of slow cook recipes that I love from your site. The best thing for me is that it takes the stress and frenzy out of the end of the day, a time when I want to be slowing down and allowing myself to settle in for the evening.
Fix it, leave it, forget it, and it’s ready when you are. How could it get any better than that.
What do I love best about slow cooking? Convenience, variety, something you can put on early, and leave until later, then keep warm. So many great slow cooker recipes! You just never get tired of it all.
The crock pot has been a God sent to me. Living on a farm I can put all my ingredients and meat in the pot set on low or high and than I am out in the field for the rest of the day. When we come in for supper sometimes in shifts our supper is ready whenever we need to eat.
As a brand new mother of 4 month old twins and house wife, my life is very chaotic. The best thing to me about a slow cooker is that I can cook anything that I want and I don’t have to worry about checking on my food and enjoy living my best life as a mom and a wife. I also love the amazing smells that travel through the house and hearing my husband walking in the house from work and say “what smells so good and we eat together as a family.
Wow! That is very nice! I love to make pot roast. It is so tender and doesn’t make the kitchen hot in the summer. Smells great too. Thanks, I would love to have an up to date one. Mine is very old.
