I like fall the best because of the fresh crisp air. The air always smell fresh. The leaves are allways very colorful, everything about fall is so beautiful.
Love the cooler days, fall colors & all the ripe winter squash! 🙂
I love the fall, but I love that October brings us thanksgiving day and family making the effort to be together for a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Watching the colors change and nature getting ready for the cold winter is a reflective time of the year. The evenings are longer as it gets dark much earlier and the mood is to cuddle up for a nice evening. Making soups , stews, I call comfort food is a part of the season, as well as pickling beets and pickles I have not used a slow cooker very much beacause the one I have is small and I cook large amounts so that I can bottle soups and stews and offer them to my neighbors.
The warm, satisfying soups …. that can easily be low points!
I especially love Butternut Squash soup, a salad and a bit of a splurge on corn bread … mmmmmm!
I love fall for the cooler temps!! And soups, stews, and chili!! Yum yum.
Fall weather brings families together.
The beautiful colors!
I love the change in the weather ,sweathers, jeans and most of all cooking comfort foods.
I love the weather change and I love making soups. I could live on them.
Autumn brings with it’s refreshing cooler weather many enticing aromas. The smell of fallen leaves crumbling underfoot; the first log fire burning in the fireplace; comfort food smells like apples baking into a pie or crisp; the stockpot bubbling with homemade soups and stews; caramel, cinnamon and pumpkin spice warming up the aroma of everything sweet. This is the essence of fall for me.
