I love sharing my favorite discoveries with you here.

‘Diet’ products can make you fat, study shows – If you’ve questioned why sugar is so expensive on Weight Watchers SmartPoints Program, you’ll want to read this.
Researchers found that rats fed a diet high in sugar but low in fat — meant to imitate many popular diet foods — increased body fat mass when compared to rats fed a balanced rodent diet.
The high-sugar diet induced a host of other problems, including liver damage and brain inflammation. (ScienceDaily)
10 Reasons I Love Weight Watchers — Alexis, a Weight Watchers Ambassador who has lost 115 pounds and kept it off over the past 2+ years, talks about the advantages of Weight Watchers over other weight loss programs.
As a fellow WW and active lifetime member, I agree with every one of her points. (Organize Yourself Skinny)
Cheesy Italian Cauliflower Bake — A Weight Watchers friendly, gluten-free, low carb alternative to baked pasta with just SmarPoints from Alisha – I can’t wait to try. (Meal Planning Mommies)
Healthy Greek Nachos — Like Kristen, I can see these becoming a staple in our house this summer as the weather is heating up and I naturally turn to recipes that are more fresh and light. Make them vegetarian by skipping the chicken and using either hummus or chickpeas instead. (Slender Kitchen)
Weight Watchers Friendly Vegan Snacks — A collection of snack recipes for those who want to try to keep animal products out of their diet. (Snack-Girl)
All About Air Fryers — If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here are five reason an air fryer is worth the hype and four recipes to try. (Hungry Girl)
Now onto the Giveaway…
AIR FRYER GIVEAWAY DETAILS…
We are giving away the Cozyna Air Fryer (Original 3.2L), recommended by Hungry Girl who said…
If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here at Hungryland, we’ve gotten pretty good at re-creating fried food sans guilt with our own “faux-fry” oven method. But I’ve gotta say, the recipes we tried in our air fryer came out even crispier. It gets better: We tried them with and without a small amount of oil (per the air fryer instructions) and found that NO added oil is needed to achieve that crispy finish.
It’s NOT a uni-tasker. I’d hesitate to recommend splurging on a kitchen gadget that can only do one thing. So I was pretty happy to learn that our air fryer can also bake, grill, and roast. I’m talking meatballs, steak… even muffins and cake! The manual includes a comprehensive chart with foods, temps, and times, which I LOVE.
It’s a time saver! My oven takes around 10 minutes to pre-heat, but an air fryer takes only about 3 minutes. Plus, some recipes cook WAY faster in an air fryer… My butternut squash fries were air-fryer ready in just 12 minutes, versus the 35 minutes they take in the oven!
Clean-up is a breeze. No messy pans or oily skillets. You can toss the fryer pan and the basket right into the dishwasher when you’re done with ’em.
The built-in timer has an auto switch-off feature to keep the absent-minded chef in check. Have you ever gotten distracted while something was in the oven and returned to burnt food? Our air fryer’s self-timer turns off the unit when time is up!

I found that if I don’t have it in the house, I can’t eat it! chocolate is my all time downfall- and if it’s in the house, I’ll find an excuse to just “taste” it! Yeah, right. 3 Reese cups later, …
Better, healthy eating has helped those cravings, and having substitutes that are healthy (like chocolate rice cakes) really helps. Frying without oil – right up my alley!
The most important thing I have learned, is to pay attention to what I eat. I am working at not eating Mindlessly. Stop having food in my car, unless on a trip~
Planning, Planning, Plannng! I need to ensure that I have the right foods in the house and I don’t just eat off the cuff….
My aha moment was having a cutoff time in the evening say 7 pm. Then it is the kitchen is closed!
I believe WW has been one of the best things to ever happen to me.I have learned the best way to cook to stay healthy. I also have learned to do exercise. The WW family is wonderful. I have met wonderful friends. There are so many good recipes that taste great.
My aha moment was not trying to cheat the process. I would weigh in Saturday Morning and then as soon as meeting let out, I would have a giant cheat day/weekend and then spend the next 5 days trying to take off the lbs I had gained and starve the day before in hopes of seeing a weight loss. I have learned that I am just cheating myself.
My biggest realization is that i need to track everyday, and also weigh and measure my food.
My biggest “aha” moment was accepting that I needed to change some habits, and make this a lifestyle change, NOT just a DIET. I do NOT have to have a sandwich for lunch, but if I choose to have one, I can even make it a lettuce wrap if I don’t want to eat bread. Also, I don’t have to have chips with a sandwich, I can have a piece of fruit!
I have found with WW that if I slip I can regain my program easily and not suffer from guilt.
Ive learned portion control and making better food choices on WW. 30 lbs down since January!
