The internet is such a wealth of helpful information and delicious recipes for Weight Watchers and others pursuing sensible weight loss and healthy balanced living.
I love sharing my favorite discoveries with you here.
Enjoy!
'Diet' products can make you fat, study shows – If you've questioned why sugar is so expensive on Weight Watchers SmartPoints Program, you'll want to read this.
Researchers found that rats fed a diet high in sugar but low in fat -- meant to imitate many popular diet foods -- increased body fat mass when compared to rats fed a balanced rodent diet.
The high-sugar diet induced a host of other problems, including liver damage and brain inflammation. (ScienceDaily)
10 Reasons I Love Weight Watchers -- Alexis, a Weight Watchers Ambassador who has lost 115 pounds and kept it off over the past 2+ years, talks about the advantages of Weight Watchers over other weight loss programs.
As a fellow WW and active lifetime member, I agree with every one of her points. (Organize Yourself Skinny)
Cheesy Italian Cauliflower Bake -- A Weight Watchers friendly, gluten-free, low carb alternative to baked pasta with just SmarPoints from Alisha - I can't wait to try. (Meal Planning Mommies)
Healthy Greek Nachos -- Like Kristen, I can see these becoming a staple in our house this summer as the weather is heating up and I naturally turn to recipes that are more fresh and light. Make them vegetarian by skipping the chicken and using either hummus or chickpeas instead. (Slender Kitchen)
Weight Watchers Friendly Vegan Snacks -- A collection of snack recipes for those who want to try to keep animal products out of their diet. (Snack-Girl)
All About Air Fryers -- If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here are five reason an air fryer (affiliate link) is worth the hype and four recipes to try. (Hungry Girl)
Now onto the Giveaway…
AIR FRYER GIVEAWAY DETAILS…
We are giving away the Cozyna Air Fryer (Original 3.2L), recommended by Hungry Girl who said...
If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here at Hungryland, we've gotten pretty good at re-creating fried food sans guilt with our own "faux-fry" oven method. But I've gotta say, the recipes we tried in our air fryer (affiliate link) came out even crispier. It gets better: We tried them with and without a small amount of oil (per the air fryer (affiliate link) instructions) and found that NO added oil is needed to achieve that crispy finish.
It's NOT a uni-tasker. I'd hesitate to recommend splurging on a kitchen gadget that can only do one thing. So I was pretty happy to learn that our air fryer (affiliate link) can also bake, grill, and roast. I'm talking meatballs, steak... even muffins and cake! The manual includes a comprehensive chart with foods, temps, and times, which I LOVE.
It's a time saver! My oven takes around 10 minutes to pre-heat, but an air fryer (affiliate link) takes only about 3 minutes. Plus, some recipes cook WAY faster in an air fryer (affiliate link)... My butternut squash fries were air-fryer ready in just 12 minutes, versus the 35 minutes they take in the oven!
Clean-up is a breeze. No messy pans or oily skillets. You can toss the fryer pan and the basket right into the dishwasher when you're done with 'em.
The built-in timer has an auto switch-off feature to keep the absent-minded chef in check. Have you ever gotten distracted while something was in the oven and returned to burnt food? Our air fryer (affiliate link)'s self-timer turns off the unit when time is up!

My biggest aha moment so far is realizing I can DO THIS! It is in my control and I am in control of my fork! Nothing is out of bounds- food wise, so this is NOT a diet but a way of life. I am so close to goal; I can taste it! An air fryer would be icing on the cake but as far as I'm concerned --- I have already WON!!!! 🙂
Liz
My biggest Weightwatchers aha is how much I love soup and the fact that I could eat it every meal.
Marcia Murray
Water, Water and more Water. I love the soup as well. Fills you up! I would love a fryer!! Thank you.
Melinda Burns
My ' aha' moment was realizing that I have to PLAN my meals.
Michelle
My biggest aha moment was portion size! Our society has gotten to the point of having out of control portions!
Helene Sawyer
The biggest AHA moment during my weight loss journey has been realizing that you can eat anything you want as long as you do 3 things. Do not eat like it is your last supper, Eat to live and don't live to eat and last but most important, TRACK< TRACK
Rosellen Goodwin
My weight has been a life long struggle. I am also Diabetic, which makes it much harder for me to lose weight and keep my blood gluc0se under control. I started keeping a journal with my blood glucose readings, food, water, exercise and notes to help me stay on track. I found that the journal helps me to feel in control, instead of overwhelmed and lost. I can see where my weak spots are and my successes. AHA!

Forgiveness!!!! I call WW the program of Mercy and Grace. I learned to forgive myself. If I mess up a day WW is forgiving and I get right back on track and don't feel like I have to give up for one slip up. I have never lost this much weight and keeping it off because I found Grace with WW.

Just starting this particular weight loss awareness journey at 69 years old. Although I have battled weight all my life, it is most difficult to take pounds off as a senior. However, one first change has made a huge difference in my "cravings". I stopped drinking "artificially sweetened" drinks and sodas. I now drink ice water, sometimes with a little lemon. Amazingly, the extreme "needs for sweets" leading immediately then to cravings for salty snacks are diminishing! --- 🙂

Tracking all the way!

Keeping track of what I eat is key. Never deny myself. Go thru this journey with friends... then you can share any treats thus keeping portions down and friendships up!
Lynn Webber
Eating smaller portions and if there is dessert that I really love I take one bite and I've learned that satisfies me.
Nadine McDonald
Meal prep is the key for me but also the hardest part of the journey. It always seems to the last thing on my "To Do List". Always looking for ways to simplify the process.
Judi McFadden
Learning about air frying has been an aha moment for me!! Sounds
wonderful....sure hope to win the fryer!!
Debbie Doughty
Set aside the time to search out creative recipes. Variety is the key for me!
Caroline
That I don't have to starve myself to eat and live healthier
Marilyn Novak
For me it is important to track my points for each day. Also shopping to have the "right" food/snack ingredients in the house at any given time. Portion control is also important to me.
Marilyn Mandell
My biggest AHA moment was when I realized it took the power of 3......Me, Myself & I to have control over food rather than the other way around. Food always seemed like a companion, comforting for varying emotional reasons. Rather, it's deceitful, lying about how it will effect your life and health.Only when you face it head on will you defeat it's potential destruction. I will tame & CONTROL it. Otherwise it could eventually devour & kill ME.
