The internet is such a wealth of helpful information and delicious recipes for Weight Watchers and others pursuing sensible weight loss and healthy balanced living.
I love sharing my favorite discoveries with you here.
Enjoy!
‘Diet’ products can make you fat, study shows – If you’ve questioned why sugar is so expensive on Weight Watchers SmartPoints Program, you’ll want to read this.
Researchers found that rats fed a diet high in sugar but low in fat — meant to imitate many popular diet foods — increased body fat mass when compared to rats fed a balanced rodent diet.
The high-sugar diet induced a host of other problems, including liver damage and brain inflammation. (ScienceDaily)
10 Reasons I Love Weight Watchers — Alexis, a Weight Watchers Ambassador who has lost 115 pounds and kept it off over the past 2+ years, talks about the advantages of Weight Watchers over other weight loss programs.
As a fellow WW and active lifetime member, I agree with every one of her points. (Organize Yourself Skinny)
Cheesy Italian Cauliflower Bake — A Weight Watchers friendly, gluten-free, low carb alternative to baked pasta with just SmarPoints from Alisha – I can’t wait to try. (Meal Planning Mommies)
Healthy Greek Nachos — Like Kristen, I can see these becoming a staple in our house this summer as the weather is heating up and I naturally turn to recipes that are more fresh and light. Make them vegetarian by skipping the chicken and using either hummus or chickpeas instead. (Slender Kitchen)
Weight Watchers Friendly Vegan Snacks — A collection of snack recipes for those who want to try to keep animal products out of their diet. (Snack-Girl)
All About Air Fryers — If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here are five reason an air fryer is worth the hype and four recipes to try. (Hungry Girl)
Now onto the Giveaway…
AIR FRYER GIVEAWAY DETAILS…
We are giving away the Cozyna Air Fryer (Original 3.2L), recommended by Hungry Girl who said…
If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here at Hungryland, we’ve gotten pretty good at re-creating fried food sans guilt with our own “faux-fry” oven method. But I’ve gotta say, the recipes we tried in our air fryer came out even crispier. It gets better: We tried them with and without a small amount of oil (per the air fryer instructions) and found that NO added oil is needed to achieve that crispy finish.
It’s NOT a uni-tasker. I’d hesitate to recommend splurging on a kitchen gadget that can only do one thing. So I was pretty happy to learn that our air fryer can also bake, grill, and roast. I’m talking meatballs, steak… even muffins and cake! The manual includes a comprehensive chart with foods, temps, and times, which I LOVE.
It’s a time saver! My oven takes around 10 minutes to pre-heat, but an air fryer takes only about 3 minutes. Plus, some recipes cook WAY faster in an air fryer… My butternut squash fries were air-fryer ready in just 12 minutes, versus the 35 minutes they take in the oven!
Clean-up is a breeze. No messy pans or oily skillets. You can toss the fryer pan and the basket right into the dishwasher when you’re done with ’em.
The built-in timer has an auto switch-off feature to keep the absent-minded chef in check. Have you ever gotten distracted while something was in the oven and returned to burnt food? Our air fryer’s self-timer turns off the unit when time is up!

For me, it has been the importance of portion control.

Have a Wonderful Week and Good Luck!

Besides portion control, I have also learned to cook healthy recipes that are very tasty. This has been a great way to eat more veggies, and veggies I have never tried before. Spaghetti squash and butternut squash are two of my new favorite friends ?
I found out just how many points were in so-called healthy foods!! 17 points for Costco fro yogurt. Who knew? WW I guess!
That every single choice I make concerning food is going to help me or hurt me. Each decision will either help me reach my goals or hurt my health and lead to lifelong regret and suffering. It is up to me to make the right/best choice every. single. time.
This is how I have lost 160 pounds on Weight Watchers and maintained that loss for over 2 years now! I have to keep it up to have the best future I can have!
BELIEVING – that with God’s help I really CAN lose weight!
I’ve learned I can still enjoy some of my favorite foods using portion control.
Learning to cook veggies smarter, roasting to get best taste. Also to remember i didn’t gain weight overnight and it will take a long time to lose. Never give up.
I make myself accountable to myself by always weighting in each week that I can. I want to make sure I am answering to myself, so I make myself see what bad choices can do to me.
I’d love to win this air fryer! My aha moment: I love food and love to cook. Now, with Weight Watchers, I’m enjoying what I love more than ever by taking time every week to explore healthy recipes. It’s an adventure trying new recipes, new products, new ways of enjoying food the healthy way. It doesn’t seem like I’m on restrictions at all. More like the sky’s the limit!
And a bonus tip: Go to your local farmers market. You’ll support local. Get the freshest food possible outside of having your own garden. And it’s a great way to explore new produce!
When I figured out weight loss is in my head not my stomach. I have wanted an air fryer but bring a fixed income it is not a need but a want.
Working the plan kind of goes without saying for me: water, tracking, meetings, weighing/measuring, etc. Having done WW a handful of times over the years, I realize how important these things are, though I’m not always perfect at them. But I’ve come to this conclusion: If I don’t do this NOW, it likely will never happen in my earthly lifetime! Medicare begins for me this year (yikes!). Remembering “slow and steady wins the race” helps me avoid comparing myself to others. “Keeping my WHY close by” is another tool. I falter like anyone else, but I vow to not give up on my improved health and on feeling good ABOUT myself! My biggest lesson has been, no matter what, “Go to the meeting anyway!” For one thing, I’ve made new friends there. I hold mySELF accountable to them, simply because I know they are pulling for me. We support each other and do fun things outside of meetings. I adore my WW leader who respects and honors everyone’s input. To prove my lesson/theme, I’ll say that for years I tried every possible way to quit smoking, until one day 18+ years ago, that desire was obliterated. Had I given up, I would never have known that freedom – or how GOOD food tastes! Through my journey with WW, I look forward to the many new-found forms of freedom I’ll experience by not carrying around extra weight.
