I love sharing my favorite discoveries with you here.

‘Diet’ products can make you fat, study shows – If you’ve questioned why sugar is so expensive on Weight Watchers SmartPoints Program, you’ll want to read this.
Researchers found that rats fed a diet high in sugar but low in fat — meant to imitate many popular diet foods — increased body fat mass when compared to rats fed a balanced rodent diet.
The high-sugar diet induced a host of other problems, including liver damage and brain inflammation. (ScienceDaily)
10 Reasons I Love Weight Watchers — Alexis, a Weight Watchers Ambassador who has lost 115 pounds and kept it off over the past 2+ years, talks about the advantages of Weight Watchers over other weight loss programs.
As a fellow WW and active lifetime member, I agree with every one of her points. (Organize Yourself Skinny)
Cheesy Italian Cauliflower Bake — A Weight Watchers friendly, gluten-free, low carb alternative to baked pasta with just SmarPoints from Alisha – I can’t wait to try. (Meal Planning Mommies)
Healthy Greek Nachos — Like Kristen, I can see these becoming a staple in our house this summer as the weather is heating up and I naturally turn to recipes that are more fresh and light. Make them vegetarian by skipping the chicken and using either hummus or chickpeas instead. (Slender Kitchen)
Weight Watchers Friendly Vegan Snacks — A collection of snack recipes for those who want to try to keep animal products out of their diet. (Snack-Girl)
All About Air Fryers — If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here are five reason an air fryer is worth the hype and four recipes to try. (Hungry Girl)
Now onto the Giveaway…
AIR FRYER GIVEAWAY DETAILS…
We are giving away the Cozyna Air Fryer (Original 3.2L), recommended by Hungry Girl who said…
If you love the taste of fried food but not excess calories and fat, this appliance delivers. Here at Hungryland, we’ve gotten pretty good at re-creating fried food sans guilt with our own “faux-fry” oven method. But I’ve gotta say, the recipes we tried in our air fryer came out even crispier. It gets better: We tried them with and without a small amount of oil (per the air fryer instructions) and found that NO added oil is needed to achieve that crispy finish.
It’s NOT a uni-tasker. I’d hesitate to recommend splurging on a kitchen gadget that can only do one thing. So I was pretty happy to learn that our air fryer can also bake, grill, and roast. I’m talking meatballs, steak… even muffins and cake! The manual includes a comprehensive chart with foods, temps, and times, which I LOVE.
It’s a time saver! My oven takes around 10 minutes to pre-heat, but an air fryer takes only about 3 minutes. Plus, some recipes cook WAY faster in an air fryer… My butternut squash fries were air-fryer ready in just 12 minutes, versus the 35 minutes they take in the oven!
Clean-up is a breeze. No messy pans or oily skillets. You can toss the fryer pan and the basket right into the dishwasher when you’re done with ’em.
The built-in timer has an auto switch-off feature to keep the absent-minded chef in check. Have you ever gotten distracted while something was in the oven and returned to burnt food? Our air fryer’s self-timer turns off the unit when time is up!

What has been your biggest lesson or “aha” on your weight loss journey thus far?
For me, it has been the importance of portion control.
THE RULES
One entry per person, please.
Winners will be announced next Sunday morning. Be sure to check back to see if you won.
Have a Wonderful Week and Good Luck!

The biggest thing that I would say is my “aha” is the importance of meal prepping. I just started doing this last summer, at least on a regular basis, and it has made a world of difference in our crazy, busy schedule. I do most of cooking on Saturday morning g and I’m pretty well set for the rest of the week, with very little in I have to do at least. I would love to try the air fryer to see if it would help get my family more on board with healthy eating 🙂
I have absolutely been dreaming about an air fryer but I cannot afford one…my weight watcher “aha” moment is when I finally realized this is NOT a diet, this is just the most sensible way to eat. I am not limited to anything, just have to be accountable and keep track, what a no brainer! I love this program and I know I will be successful BUT I do love my fried foods, especially fries etc and it would be heaven to own one of these to help in my journey….Thank you for having this contest??And for the amazing crock pot recipes. Haven’t had a bad one yet…
For me planning and portion control. I would love to try the air fryer!!
Track everything you eat. Every bite counts and adds up. I lose when I do this.
My biggest aha moment has been the importance of tracking. It really holds me accountable and allows me to still eat the foods that I love. As long as I keep within in my points.
I have finally learned to divide my points up and not eat most in one meal. Helps a lot to distribute them throughout the day
Thanks for the opportunity!
Knowing that I have had enough and drinking more water..
For me it was giving up night time snacking. That was a big one to stop.
I would have to say eating yogurt for breakfast and drinking lots of water. I would love to try the air fryer!
I have learned to take care of my needs, that it is not selfish to do so. To drink water, eat healthy meals and get enough sleep.
I have learned to forgive myself when I go off course.
The biggest aha moment for me is that when I am eating nourishing healthy food, I don’t need as much.. If I eat sugary, highly processed foods, I can eat and eat but I never feel totally satisfied.. Weight watchers has given me some awesome tools to help with my weight loss.
Portion size makes all the difference, that is why we use smaller dishes. Have to fool ourselves sometimes.
I have signed up for several healthy cooking programs. I was ready to expect this one to be yet another disappointment. However, I had made a mistake in downloading the program and recipes. Martha, was ever so kind and assisted me. And today as I look thru the recipes there is not one I do not want to try! I think this one is the answer!
For me it has been tracking everything I eat. As soon as I think “I’ve got this” and stop tracking….the weight starts sneaking back on. If I bite, I write it!
For the life of me I can’t find where you post your comments to enter. Any help out there? Thanks
