And it’s rare to find one with nutritional or Weight Watchers PointsPlus information. So, I was happy to find Quick and Light: Healthy Recipes You’ll Fall in Love With by Janie Samuels on Amazon for just $2.99.
In her Welcome, Samuels says that she lost forty pounds and kept it off. Her secret? She learned how to cook healthier, tastier versions of all her favorite foods.
This book is filled with recipes for the quick light meals she likes. And a few desserts too.
I enjoyed reading these recipes. I was salivating. Janie cooks with the ingredients and flavors I like. All the recipes include nutritional information and Weight Watchers PointsPlus values too.

Recipes I can’t wait to try: Rosemary Turkey Cutlets. Smothered Burgers and Gravy. Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Fresh Tomato and Basil Pasta. Cheesy Zucchini Rotini made with cottage cheese. And Warm Cinnamon Apples.
The book includes a nice balance of entrees and sides and even a few easy desserts.
What are the negatives? This e-cookbook has no Photographs. A few recipes include expensive ingredients: filet mignon and lamb chops. And there may be some typos. For example, the Cheesy Zucchini Rotini calls for 1 tablespoon italian seasoning. This seems like a lot for a dish with only two servings.
Who would enjoy this book? Busy home cooks who want to eat tasty quick light meals. Weight Watchers who want recipes with nutritional information and Weight Watchers PointsPlus values.
