A huge amount of taco meat to feed a house of hungry teenagers.
love to slow cook
Ham shank to make bean soup.
Chili Verde
I made a delicious Honey Mustard Chicken and I don’t even like mustard! It was so moist and tender. I only have a small crockpot but it was enough to feed my daugter and son-in-law along with us. Great for WW that we’re all on.
Steel cut oats with peaches
I made Mississippi beef yum
Husband is Hispanic so I cook pinto beans in my crockpot all the time. Estimate a handful per person, rinse the beans very well and put in the crockpot. Add water to cover by at least 2 inches, add a T of canola oil and a couple of shakes of Lawry’s garlic salt. Turn on high and cook for 4 – 8 hours depending on how many handfuls you used. The smell thru the house is wonderful and the beans can be used for a side dish by themselves, mashed for a scrambled egg/bean taco, mashed for a bean and cheese burriot, put on top of a salad, etc.
The last thing I made in the crockpot was pizza dip for my husband!
Pulled chicken in barbeque sauce
