Celebrate National Granola Bars Day

According to The Nibble, today, 1/20, is National Granola Bar Day. There’s certainly no shortage of packaged granola bars lining the grocery store shelves with which you could celebrate.

Granola bars make a great snack and can be a better alternative for breakfast than high calorie muffins or doughnuts.

Here’s a great article with reviews of dozens of granola bars if you’re interested.

But, I think it would be much more fun to honor the day with a batch of healthy homemade granola bars, like this Great Granola Bar Recipe – brimming with wholesome ingredients including oats, wheat germ, almonds, maple syrup, cranberries, dates and apricots.
