Apple Beet Detox Juice

(30 Days of Juicing Day #13 – Martha’s Apple Beet Detox Juice)

Isn’t this apple beet detox juice lovely to look at? It was just as tasty to drink.

I’m now more than two weeks in to my 30 days of juicing experiment. Boy how time flies. And I’m feeling good. I can’t say I’ve noticed any huge changes. But there have been subtle shifts. Many mornings after having my juice, I haven’t bothered to make my typical cup of decaf and have been satisfied with just a handful of nuts until lunch.

Starting the day in such a positive way seems to lead to better choices (sometimes, not always) throughout the rest of the day. More salads; fewer sandwiches and chips. I feel like I’m drinking less alcohol and sleeping better too.

I still get occasional cravings. Yesterday it was for a donut, so I stopped at my favorite bakery on the way home from yoga and savored it with a decaf latte. (It was Sunday after all and in my family when I was growing up Sunday meant donuts.)

Skinny on Martha’s Apple Beet Detox Juice

I liked this apple beet detox juice. It seemed to stay with me longer than some of the others I’ve tried. But I love beets. If you don’t, you are probably better off skipping this one. There are plenty of other options available.

Beets and beet juice have a long list of health benefits including liver detoxification, which has to be good for wine lover like me.

According to my calculations this apple beet detox juice has about 113 calories and *3 Weight Watchers Points Plus.

Enjoy!
