Did you know that the avocado is technically a fruit? It’s actually a large berry with a big pit (or seed) inside. They also go by the name Alligator Pear.
I also never knew how good an avocado smoothie could be until I tried the Avocado Pear Smoothie below. Adding avocado to your smoothie really boosts the creaminess factor and helps to smooth out other fruits.
Avocados are definitely high in fat, but it is mostly the health-promoting monounsaturated fat, and they are also high in potassium, folic acid, vitamins K, B6, C and E. Avocados actually have about twice as much potassium as a banana.

Normally I don’t care too much for smoothies but these sound so rich and delicious. Can’t wait to give them a try. My daughter, like me, loves avocado, I know that she will be excited to try these recipes also.
Thanks so much.
Enjoy, Cyndi!
