I would much rather give a gift than receive one. My favorite gift to receive is a visit or get together from a friend. My favorite gift to give is an anonymous act of kindness.
Taking a friend some place for lunch, or to a drive-in to sit for an hour to visit are some of my favorite gifts. I like to receive gift cards for anything related to the yard.
I love getting gift cards to a quilt shop, Joannes or Hobby Lobby and Starbucks. Breakfast on my birthday (today is mine and my co-workers got me breakfast and specialty coffee).
I love giving homemade goodies or gift cards…or both!

I love to give handmade gifts. I love that I can personalize them for the person I am making the gift for.
My favorite gift to give is a handmade diorama/shadow box with the person I am giving it to or their pet as the centerpiece of the artwork. My favorite gift to receive is time spent with loved ones (and wine :O) )
My favorite gift to give is one of time or service. Like dog sitting, helping with resume, job search, etc. Or, by careful listening finding that one thing they always wanted but wouldn’t buy for themselves. Like tickets to a silly(?) movie, a fun hat, a pair of silly socks. For myself, my favorite gift is time my friends and family spend with me to relax and enjoy each other without pressure and time limits. If I can’t have that I always love Amazon gift cards. Amazon Prime is the best!
I like to give DVDs or kitchen tools or other things my family won’t buy themselves. Most of them like to cook but my son likes movies.
