The winner of the gift card is Kathy E. who said…
“Gift-giving is something I love because I enjoy making personalized gifts, especially sewing up tote bags, coaster sets, quilts and table runners. I always keep the recipient’s preferences and colors in mind as I sew, always adding love to every stitch! Of course, receiving handmade gifts is the best too! Gift-giving and receiving are always appreciated with thoughtfulness and love behind the act.”
Congratulations Kathy E., please send an email support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your gift card!

I love to give gifts that are a reflection of the relationship between me and the receiver. I like to receive gifts that I wouldn’t normally buy for myself.
Love
Love!
My favorite gifts to give are things I can create and share myself. I crochet and do things OTHER THAN FOOD as there is sooo much enphasis on food and everyone is health and weight conscious. That is not to say I don’t do the occasional baking, or casserole (especially someone who is coming home from a hospital stay or has a newborn or would like something to stick in the freezer for “those days” when you just cannot prepare an entire big deal of a meal….but as one who struggles with weight, I’d rather focus on other things than food. (I also give away a restaurant delivery prepaid card, as I did my sister-in-law when she came home with her latest newborn! Her hubby was late from work and voila….dinner was deliered and done)
I prefer giving and receiving monetary gifts . That way I can expect myself and others can purchase a gift that is more appreciated and it is something you really wanted.
Love receiving home made gifts and love to give books.
I love to crochet so I like to give things I have made ..I also like to give children toys that they make things with . And books ..my favorite fun thing was a children’s book Advent ..I wrapped 23 books individually in different wrap and the last book was the night before Christmas which I told them to un wrap last and they had hot chocolate and a treat to go with it 🙂
Love to make homemade gifts of food! Breads, jams, canned tomatoes or pickles.
The gifts I enjoy most are ones in which I feel the givers thought about me and didn’t just buy anything. The cost, size or quality doesn’t matter. It’s about the thoughtfulness. I feel that same way about giving gifts. I like to buy things that I believe the person will really enjoy.
I like to make travel neck pillows for my friends, filled with rice so it can be heated in the microwave.
