The winner of the gift card is Kathy E. who said…

“Gift-giving is something I love because I enjoy making personalized gifts, especially sewing up tote bags, coaster sets, quilts and table runners. I always keep the recipient’s preferences and colors in mind as I sew, always adding love to every stitch! Of course, receiving handmade gifts is the best too! Gift-giving and receiving are always appreciated with thoughtfulness and love behind the act.”

Congratulations Kathy E., please send an email support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your gift card!

  1. I love to give and get gift cards for all occasions (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christmas, Graduations, Weddings, etc.). Sometimes I will give them just to say Thank You or Just Because.

Some cards that I love to give are for restaurants, some are for department stores, some are for entertainment (like movies, theme parks, amusement/arcade centers), and still some others are for grocery stores or pharmacies (so elderly family and friends on fixed incomes don’t have to decide “do I eat, or do I buy my medicines with my monthly check”. For many of the teens and young singles in my life, they get the Amazon and I-Tune Cards or if they are drivers, a Gasoline gift card always seems to be a welcome surprise for them.

Me, I have even requested to get gift cards for Barnes & Noble’s Bookstores … I’m an avid reader. I also like to get the magazine subscriptions that help me with delicious diabetic and Weight Watcher friendly recipes … some may need a little tweaking to get the Freestyle Points down, but that’s ok, I have the Weight Watcher tools to do that. Then I get to share these good recipes with my friends and colleagues at the weekly Weight Watcher’s meetings with all the calculations (from using the Smart Points Calculator and the website Recipe Creator) attached to the bottom of the recipes.

  2. I love giving Amazon gift cards to my teenage grandchildren–this way they can buy what they want–less stress on me

  3. I love to give and receive handmade gifts and small personal gifts. To me that means that person put a lot of thought and effort into that gift. They took the time and love into making that gift. These gifts are priceless and I well appreciate them.

  4. I like to give whatever the receiver wants. I like to get kitchen gadgets. Yep; I’m a kitchen junkie!

  5. My favorite gifts both to give and receive are homemade gifts. The effort put into making them shows how much the giver cares about the recipient.

  6. I love to bake and often give homemade cookies and breads for Christmas presents. As the years progress, more and more people don’t cook at home as much and seem to enjoy receiving homemade things.

  7. My favorite gift to receive is just surrounding myself with family and friends enjoying each other’s company and favorite pot luck appetizers.

My favorite gift to give is my handmade knitted and crocheted items.

  8. I like to give and receive kitchen appliances. My daughter gave me an instant pot. I had never heard of it and I LOVE it. I recently gave her a Ninja system. She loves it too. What fun!
