(30 Days of Juicing Day #25 – Apple Cucumber Celery Juice)
Light, refreshing and not too “green” this apple cucumber celery juice is a pleasant way to begin a hot summer day. I found the recipe on Prolific Juicing where it’s listed as a Weight Loss Juice Recipe.
The blog’s owner, Farnoosh, claims that the primary reason to drink green juice is to feel better. Weight loss is just a bonus. She’s a big advocate of juicing and has even published a book, The Healthy Juicer’s Bible: Lose Weight, Detoxify, Fight Disease, and Live Long.
The Skinny on Apple Cucumber Celery Juice
According to my calculations, this recipe for this apple cucumber celery juice has about 76 calories and 2* Weight Watchers Points Plus. (I only counted the juice from the apples and oranges to determine points plus.)
Rod and I both gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up.
- 3 apples, quartered and cored
- 2 oranges, peeled
- 3 stalks celery
- 1 cucumber, peeled
- handful parsley
- ½ lemon, peeled
- 1-inch fresh ginger
- Wash all the ingredients well. Cut the fruit and vegetables into pieces that will fit into your juicer. Juice and serve over ice.
