Are you aware of National Cookie Day?
I wasn’t, until recently while doing a little cookie research, I discovered a whole slew of cookie related days in addition to National Cookie Day – December 4.
Who knew?
Since I firmly believe in the power of cookies to make everything better, I’m excited about all of these new national cookie days to celebrate.
Dozens of different cookies have days dedicated to them – oatmeal cookies, sugar cookies, blondies, gingersnaps, and brownies – to name a few.
Chocolate chip cookies, undoubtedly America’s favorites, get a whole week of recognition.

The second week of March is Chocolate Chip Cookie Week.
In fact there is a day dedicated to one type of cookie or another eleven months of the year, giving us plenty of various national cookie days to celebrate all year long. The annual National Cookie Day fun begins with Shortbread Day – January 6 and ends with National Pfeffernuesse Day – December 23.
The next time you are looking for a reason to enjoy some cookies, there may be a National Cookie Day to celebrate. Here’s a complete list of all the National Cookie Days I could find. I hope you will mark your calendar with your favorite cookies and add some cookie fun to your life. Bake a batch of homemade cookies, share them with your friends, and family and spread the joy that comes from celebrating with cookies.
