I’m excited to share Stephanie’s amazing weight loss success story with you. She has lost more than 150 pounds over 3 years and kept it off after realizing she didn’t want to repeat the mistakes of her father. After decades of depression and disordered eating she now enjoys life and wakes up each day ready for a new adventure.

Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle
I suffered from severe depression, anxiety, and body dysmorphia. I eventually developed eating disorders and struggled to find who I was as a person as a teenager and grew I to an adult with these issues.

What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or “A-Ha Moment” That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?
I weighed 321 pounds, my job had me severely depressed and constantly stressed, and my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s along with his cardio myopathy and being severely overweight. I thought I was having a heart attack at work due to stress and I realized I was turning into my father, about to meet an early grave.

How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I suffer from severe binge eating disorder since my teens which turned into bulimia and then anorexia as a normal day-to-day life. I would eat ridiculous amounts of foods, throw it up and then do it all over again. Shame from this made me anorexic, not wanting to eat at all. I now eat low-carb—focusing on veggies and high protein, with no bread or grains.

What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?
I went from not working out at all to working out 5-7 days a week. I enjoy moving now and working out makes me happy. The fact that I CAN move and workout after being 321 lbs. and barely able to move after losing 157 lbs. amazes me.

What Has Been The Biggest Change/Payoff For You So Far?
My physical and mental health. I now enjoy life and wake up each day ready for a new adventure. My severe depression is managed, I’m down 147 lbs, and I’m healthier at age 41 than I’ve ever been. I’m proof that a normal person can do anything!

How Much Weight Have You Lost? How Long Did It Take You To Lose It?
Right now I’m down 157 pounds and counting. I’ve lost progressively over 3 years and have kept it off.

Some Advice and/or Words of Wisdom I’d Like To Share
We all start somewhere. Just take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself.
