Activity

Then it was out for my morning walks, first with Francie and then with Brenda for a total of about 1 hour out on the trail. This was the first day experimenting with my new pedometer, which was fun. (I ended up logging 10,582 steps, which was a nice surprise.)

Breakfast #2

After our walk, I enjoyed the same exact breakfast as yesterday, a cup of decaf and bowl of plain Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries and a sprinkling of Grape Nuts. The only difference was today I drizzled the yogurt with maple syrup instead of honey. (5 PPV)…

After breakfast, I realized I still needed to take my morning vitamins, which is no small undertaking…

Then it was time to get ready and head out to my two Weight Watchers At Work Meetings.

After the meetings I did a few errands, including stopping into a new consignment shop where I scored a this pair of lightly used Italian made shoes in a nice neutral color…

Lunch

By the time I finally got home I was ready for lunch, so threw together this yummy salad from what was in the fridge: salad greens, tomatoes, avocado, chopped grilled red bell pepper and zucchini, a little leftover chickpea & feta salad, and the turkey burger half I saved from last night. Tossed with a little Newman’s Own light balsamic dressing, it was healthy, filling and delicious. (8 PPV)

Making a healthy tasty salad is easy when you’ve got an assortment of ingredients ready and waiting in the refrigerator.

After lunch, I did a few chores and decided to address the overripe bananas languishing on the counter. I can’t stand to toss away past-their-prime bananas and love experimenting with ways to use them. Usually, this means whipping up a banana bread or batch of banana muffins, but today a recipe from The Dinner Doctor (affiliate link) described as a cross between banana bread and pie caught my attention…
