It is that time of year when talk of detox diets fills the air.

Spring seems to be the perfect time to give your body a tuneup.

But the question is what detox diet is best?

What is a healthy detoxification diet?

My friend Darshana at Fruition Health has been running a three week cleanse each spring for several years.

Just as I was contemplating enrolling in her program, I received a timely article from my favorite naturopaths at Integrative Healthcare in Scottsdale Arizona.

After reading Dr. Lovick’s informative article, I decided to design my own healthy detoxification diet, using her outline as a guide.  And since it’s always easier to do things with a partner, my brother Pete is following the plan with me.

It’s a wealth of information on how to detox in gentle ways using real foods instead of lots of potions and pills that can be expensive, extreme and anything but gentle!
