Use what ever type of lettuce you prefer - romaine, iceberg, green leaf, arugula, mixed greens, spinach or a combination.Onion? Any onion will work - yellow, red or white.Sausage? Any fully cooked chicken or turkey sausage will work. You could also substitute cubes of raw chicken breast if you prefer.Apples? Any apple that will stand up to cooking without getting mushy is a good choice. I used honey crisp. Gala, fuji, granny smith, golden delicious would work well.Dressing? You may or may not need extra dressing for this salad. I added a drizzle of this super yummy 3-Ingredient Honey Mustard Dressing which worked really well.
