This Easy Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Casserole has all the flavors of traditional cabbage rolls without the work. Ground beef, cabbage, rice, onion, and tomato sauce cook together in the crockpot for an easy family-friendly meal.

1can(14 - 15 ounces) Italian-style tomato sauce
Instructions
Ideal slow cooker size: 4-Quart
Grease the inside of the slow cooker.
In a large skillet, cook the beef and onion, stirring occasionally, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off any grease.
Scrape the beef and onion mixture into the slow cooker.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. (The cooker will be full, but the cabbage will shrink a lot during cooking.)
Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or until the cabbage is tender.

Optional Flavor Boosters
While the recipe is delicious as written, you can easily add:
1 to 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 bay leaf
A pinch of red pepper flakes
For a more traditional sweet-and-sour cabbage roll flavor, stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons brown sugar.
