Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan.
Combine all ingredients (except chips & nuts) in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes.
Pour into the prepared pan and sprinkle the top with chocolate chips and nuts.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
