¾teaspoonkosher salt (I used ½ teaspoon table salt)
⅛teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
freshly ground black pepper (I used already ground black pepper)
1-¾poundlarge or extra-large shrimp, peeled and deveined
⅓cupchopped fresh parsley
Gather and prep your ingredients.
In a large skillet set over medium high, heat butter and olive oil until the butter is melted. Add the garlic and sauté until it is fragrant, about 1 minute. Add wine or broth, salt, crushed red pepper flakes and black pepper (¼ - ½ teaspoon) Bring the mixture to a gently bubble. Let the wine reduce by half, about 2 minutes.
Add the shrimp and sauté, stirring and turning often, until they just turn pink. This will take 2 to 4 minutes depending upon their size. Stir in the parsley and lemon juice and serve over pasta, rice, cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles. This is also delicious served on it's own with a little crusty french bread
I used a little less butter than the original recipe called for to shave a few calories and WW Points. This doesn't make a ton of sauce. If you want to serve it with pasta, I would increase the wine/broth to 1 cup.Click here to see your WW Points for this recipe and track it in the WW app or site.8*PointsPlus (Old plan)
