Today when I walked into Paradise Bakery to meet my Mom for lunch, I was greeted by a big sign announcing the return of their Strawberry Poppyseed Premium Signature Salad. I managed to miss it's debut, but was excited to see such a fresh and healthy option staring me in the face.
Before learning about this new salad, I had intended to have one of my old stand-bys: a small greek salad (5 PointsPlus) with a scoop of tuna (4 PointsPlus) but decided to give the strawberry poppyseed salad a try instead. It was really hot and I wanted something light, yet satisfying to carry me through the afternoon without weighing me down.
The Strawberry Poppyseed HALF salad has just 170 calories, 4 Weight Watchers PointsPlus Value, and includes all-natural antibiotic-free chicken, romaine, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, fresh pineapple, mandarin oranges, and pecans tossed with a fat-free poppyseed dressing. A rainbow of colors and variety of flavors and textures, it was light, tasty, and refreshing.
I also had a cup of lowfat garden vegetable soup with pesto, which was brimming with veggies, beans and a bit of pasta for 2 PointsPlus.
So for 6 PointsPlus I was able to enjoy a light yet filling meal rich in WW power foods including fresh fruit, vegetables, and lean protein. How great is that?
Granted, it's much easier to find healthy options at some restaurants than it is at others. And learning to seek out better choices is an important key to lasting weight loss success.
Paradise Bakery is one of my favorite options when having lunch out. I can always find something I feel good about eating that is fresh and delicious. It's quick and convenient. And it's one of the lunch spots my Mom and I can always agree on.
Paradise Bakery doesn't publish their nutrition details at the moment (or at least I haven't been able to find it on their website.) But Panera Bread (which owns Paradise Bakery and has the same exact menu as far as I can tell does.) So when I want nutrition information for Paradise Bakery, I just go to the nutrition page for Panera to get the information I need.

Thank you so much for this information! I noticed Paradise doesn't have nutrition info on their site, and I normally stick with the philosophy that if the co. doesn't post there information for me to figure out the points, I don't eat there. I loved this salad, but because I thought it would be higher points because of the nuts, I didn't get anything else.
