WW Recipe of the Day: Frozen Strawberry Prosecco Slushie Cocktail
(102 calories | 5 5 5 myWW *SmartPoints value per serving)
A few weeks ago I returned to my village in Provence, France, and our strawberry vendor, Madame Sophie, was right by the side of the road as she is every April and May.
Her small, candy-like berries, are just a few Euros for a kilo. We always buy way more than we need!
Faced with a few extra pounds of berries, I bought the local sparkling wine and made this cool and refreshing summer cocktail in an ancient blender (affiliate link).
Our Clairette de Die is Provence's version of Prosecco, or other French sparklers called Cremante.
The light and refreshing frozen cocktail we created was such a hit with our neighbors that we made it several times. After our bottles of Prosecco were gone, we used sparkling water and created the same drink without alcohol. Still a winner and good at any time on a hot summer day.

How to Make the Frozen Strawberry Prosecco Cocktail?
Step 1: Gather and prepare all ingredients.
Step 2: Place frozen strawberries, sparkling wine and orange juice in a food processor (affiliate link) or high-powered blender (affiliate link). Process on high until the mixture is well blended.
Step 3: Pour into two glasses and top with a mint leaf, orange, lemon or lime slice.
Strawberry Prosecco Slushie Cocktail Recipe Notes
It is super easy to stem the berries and chop them before freezing them. Alternatively, you could buy seeded and chopped or small frozen berries.
Once frozen solid, it's harder to get the stems removed. Chopping is important as big, whole berries are difficult to process in most machines.
Strawberry Prosecco Summer Freeze Serving Suggestions
As a summer cocktail, serve in flutes with skinny crackers and a smear of goat cheese, or salty olives for a great contrast.
As a dessert, spoon the fantasy into larger glasses and top with more chopped, thawed fruit, a mint leave, lime slice or orange wedge.
Ways to Use Summer Strawberry Prosecco Leftovers
Any leftovers, which is doubtful, will keep for a few hours as it thaws in the refrig. If the fizz fizzles out, then either top off with additional Prosecco or add a splash of club soda to revive it.

Delish! I added a little triple sec, as my berries weren't the sweetest. Thank you!
