Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Strawberries (sliced) – The star of the dessert—sweet, juicy, and fresh. You can substitute raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, or diced peaches.
  • Plain nonfat Greek yogurt – Adds creaminess and a boost of protein. Vanilla yogurt works too, or use a dairy-free yogurt if needed.
  • Light whipped topping (such as Cool Whip or TruWhip) – Creates that light, fluffy mousse texture. You can use regular whipped topping or homemade whipped cream (just note Points may change).
  • Vanilla meringue cookies (crushed) – Add a delicate crunch and sweetness. You can substitute with crumbled graham crackers, vanilla wafers, biscotti, amaretti, or even crispy gingersnaps.

How to Make Low Calorie Strawberry Meringue Mousse

Step 1: Gather and prep your ingredients

Step 2: Stir together strawberries and yogurt in a bowl. Gently fold in the whipped topping just until blended.

Mixing strawberries, yogurt and lite whipped topping in glass bowl with spoon.

Step 3: Spoon half of strawberry mixture into a glass or dessert dish. Top with 2 tablespoons of the cookie crumbs. Top with remaining strawberry mixture and sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.

Recipe Tips & Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor
  • Don’t overmix—fold gently to keep it light and airy
  • Best enjoyed shortly after assembling so the cookies stay crisp
  • Easily double or triple for more servings

Easy Variations

  • Switch the fruit – Try raspberries, blueberries, peaches, or a mixed berry blend.
  • Make it sweeter – Add a little no-calorie sweetener if your fruit isn’t very sweet.
  • Change the crunch – Use graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or even crushed biscotti.
  • Chocolate twist – Use chocolate meringues (like these Chocolate Chip Cloud Cookies) or add a few mini chocolate chips for a dessert-like feel.

  1. Just FYI. The ingredients call for greek yogurt but the directions mention sour cream. I know in the WW app for PP (2 for me) it also lists greek yogurt but you might want to change the directions to prevent confusion for some. Sounds like a yummy recipe. Thank you.
