After struggling and overcoming drug addiction, I gained 120 lbs. I was left helpless, hopeless, and feeling worthless.
I started Weight Watchers on my 33rd birthday (June 2014). To Date I've lost 104.4 lbs.
I'm learning to make healthy choices in all aspects of my life and wrought watchers taught me that taking care of me is not selfish. It is necessary to reach my goals.
What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or "A-Ha Moment" That Caused You To Sign Up With Weight Watchers?
I didn't have an "A-ha" moment. I thought I'd give it a try, but was certain I was going to fail.
How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Weight Watchers? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I have learned how to eat. I had no idea that I needed to pay attention to how much protein, fat, sugar, etc. my body needed.
I was eating 2 or 3 bags a day of Munchie mix and 4 to 5 64 ounce diets sodas.
Now I eat all kinds of food, just healthy food. I eat lots of fruits and veggies. Frozen grapes are my favorite.
I make sure to keep my protein high, to stay full. I drink about a gallon of water a day. No more soda.
What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before Weight Watchers And Now?
Before weight watchers fitness was non existent. Now I go to the gym 5 days a week. I've made wonderful friends there who support and encourage me every day. I run races, have participated in the dirty dash, and hope to do a spartan race.
What Has Been The Biggest Change/Payoff For You So Far?
The biggest pay off had been watching my kids make better choices because I do. I love it when they ask me for fruit instead of candy. I love over hearing my 7 year old tell people that fast food is not good for them.
Do You Have A Favorite Recipe You'd Like To Share?
My favorite snack is:
- ½ cup cottage cheese
- 1 /4 avacado
- 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
- 4 SP
