Happy Sunday!
I hope you are enjoying a luscious weekend. Scanning back through my Paris photos, I came across this one of our delicious Berthillon ice cream, what many consider the best ice cream and sorbet in the world. I don't know about best in the world, but I can attest that it's delicious and worth every calorie/Weight Watchers Point.
The flavors are incredibly deep and true, with a mouthwatering selection of flavors such as wild strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, coconut, mango, passion fruit, salted caramel, fig, hazelnut, pistachio, Grand Manier, Amaretto, praline and dark chocolate. If you ever have the chance, it's definitely worth sampling!
What's your favorite ice cream?
Today I'm sharing a few Weight Watcher's Friendly Summer Dessert Recipes that I've recently bookmarked…
Lightened Strawberry Pie - A deliciously refreshing recipe for fresh strawberry pie from Food Done Light. I'm not sure how I found my way to this recipe or blog, but I'm so glad I did. As Christie explained, " I really wanted to keep the essence of the strawberry in this pie. That meant making a no bake pie. Each bite is a strawberry explosion. You will savor the sweetness of the strawberries in each divine bite. It also happens to look quite stunning too."
Skinny No Fat Orange Creamsicle Pops - If you are a fan of the wonderful flavor combination of oranges and cream, you'll want to take a look at these refreshing looking homemade pops made with Greek yogurt and mandarin oranges from from Skinny Sweets Daily. Taking only minutes to make and with just 2 Weight Watchers PointsPlus, Pam says, "I love this healthy recipe, especially since they remind me of having creamsicles as a child. I loved them then and I love them even more now knowing I can make them with better ingredients for my family." How cool is that?
I love ice cream and ice cream desserts, especially during the summer. This Coffee Ice Cream Pie from Betty Crocker isn't exactly Weight Watchers friendly with 520 calories per slice, but it's one of my favorite flavor combinations ever - coffee ice cream in a cookie crust drizzled with hot fudge. The great thing about Weight Watches is nothing is off limits, so I can make this delicious no-bake dessert work by doing what my Nana would have done, opting for a sliver!
Blueberry Topped Lemon Ice Cream Pie - Here's another winning ice cream pie from Betty perfect for a hot summer's day. Lemon sherbet and vanilla ice cream are layered into a cookie crust, frozen until firm and served with a simple topping of fresh blueberries and blueberry jam.
Enjoy!
