Basic Yoga Poses Improve Stability and Balance in Women Over Age 65

I came across an interesting article today on the power of basic yoga in preventing falls in women over 65 years old. “Results from a study conducted by The Temple University Gait Study Center found that at the end of the nine-week Iyengar basic yoga program, participants had a faster stride, an increased flexibility in the lower extremities, an improved single-leg stance and increased confidence in walking and balance.”

Here’s a quick easy dinner recipe that requires only minimal cooking — just boiling pasta — and is ready in twenty minutes or less. I made it for dinner last week and everyone agreed that it’s a tasty creamy keeper! I used canned diced tomatoes but can’t wait to try it again with fresh when their in season.

Do we really wear only 20 percent of our clothes 80 percent of the time? It seems hard to believe, but studies say it’s true for most of us.
How many of your clothes have been languishing in your closet for years? Do you have items with the tags still on them? I am guilty on both counts. Who hasn’t made an impulsive clothing purchase they’ve later regretted?
