Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you have a wonderful day filled with delicious food and the love of family and friends.
I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday. I plan on spending the day cooking most of the family meal - turkey, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, molded cranberry jello salad, and green bean casserole. Since I got a head start on several dishes yesterday, there should be plenty of time for sipping Prosecco too!
Mom will bring the mashed potatoes, relish tray with cream cheese stuffed celery and shrimp cocktail. My sister is in charge of the bread and desserts, so they'll be a surprise.
This is the first time in decades we'll be able to get together without the complication of a plane trip. It will be bittersweet since this is also the first Thanksgiving since my dad died. But he'll be with us in spirit.
I've decided to take the day off from tracking my PointsPlus values. Instead I'll eat what I want and focus on stopping when I'm satisfied without denying myself anything. Then, Friday morning, I'll get right back in maintenance mode 🙂
My heart is overflowing with gratitude for all the blessings in my life:
- My health.
- Sharing my life with such a sensitive, caring husband.
- My family.
- Mom's successful transition to Phoenix
- Brenda's move to Tucson.

Clara Mae,
Thanks so much for your thoughtful kin comment. It really means the world to me. I do work for Weight Watchers of Arizona as
a receptionist/leader. But the work, I do here on Simple Nourished Living is not endorsed by Weight Watchers in any way. It's just me sharing what I've learned as a longtime member of Weight Watchers. I love food and eating too! And like you, Weight Watchers help me find the balance. I'm glad you find this site helpful.
